At MMP we continue to offer all our marking services by qualified examiners during this period of home learning.

For schools, adapting your teaching to fit an online template will no doubt have come with its challenges with pressures from both parents and school.  For teachers with their own children at home the whole experience can be particularly challenging.

When we do all return to some state of normality, you will want to gauge the progress attained by your pupils over the lockdown. Further, you will no doubt be concerned about the impact this will have on your Year 10 and Year 12 students – GCSE and A Level candidates in 2021. So within two weeks of your return we are offering our ‘BenchMark’ Mock Exam Series and inviting your school to take part. This will be crucial for the core subjects, Mathematics and English Language at GCSE.

Our ‘BenchMark’ Mock Exam Campaign will swiftly mark, grade and offer an examiner’s overview of each cohort’s progress. You can either use the papers you would normally select or choose from our newly created resource of papers written by senior examiners and published authors. When your papers are returned our focus will be on helping you find a way forward by not only highlighting those students individually who need the most attention but by addressing topic areas which need more focus.

We can support your ambitions to identify gaps and any lack of progress resulting from the lockdown. If you are worried that some of your pupils may have been disadvantaged, we would like to help you. We already work with numerous schools in the UK and around the world and have arranged for the rigorous marking of many tens of thousands of papers since our launch in 2018.

Having your autumn exams set and marked externally will:

• Free up your teaching professionals’ most valuable commodity -time. We will mark and grade work for you, accepting scanned or couriered papers, with a swift turnaround time, leaving you free to get back to teaching.

• Give you in-depth feedback on your students and their areas of weakness, through our Full Assessment service. We cater for any number of students’ papers with no minimum number.

• Provide your students with a much needed incentive; it will focus minds if your students know they will face an external ‘BenchMark’ Mock Exam process upon their immediate return to school.

As gaps in progress become apparent when school reopens, teachers will face the unenviable task of trying to bring the extremes of this progress together. It won’t be easy. The truth will only really become apparent when GCSE and A Level results are revealed in 2021, but by then it will be too late. You will want to benchmark your students at the earliest opportunity, and we can help you.
