Emma White talks with Eleanor Marker of ‘Education Matters’ about her own journey towards securing places at the very best Universities….
Last month I was fortunate enough to be interviewed by Eleanor Marker of Home Education Matters. Eleanor is well-known in home-education circles and has faced 15 GCSE subject alone as a home-educating parent (something of a record). The focus here was on my own experience of home-educating through A Levels to Oxbridge and Russell Group university success. It is a long listen (over an hour) but hopefully it will answer many of the questions parents have where they face A Levels and university application from home with a very limited budget and zero tech. With the rise of on-line schools this should give hope to those who cannot afford the fees and still want to be able to aim high with very limited support, from home. The result for us was two places at Cambridge University (History and Modern Foreign Languages plus Natural Sciences) plus further offers from Durham, Warwick, Bristol and King’s London. #homeeducation #oxbridge #russellgroup #alevels
